We are delighted to have been awarded £20,000 by Annandale and Nithsdale Community Benefit Company to support the hospital transport service. This will make a huge difference to our ability to assist passengers once general hospital appointments resume. We are enormously grateful for this grant.

The office is currently closed with staff being furloughed to protect the long term future of services. ACTS is still providing transport to hospital appointments. Please call 079 500 51239 to speak to one of our volunteer directors for assistance.
COVID 19 UPDATE
The office is currently open but please contact by phone or email if possible. Requests for essential transport such as hospital appointments will continue to be provided, subject to vehicle and volunteer driver availability. All day trips are cancelled until further notice. Please contact the office if ACTS can assist those offering services to people in self isolation. Our project to deliver door-to-door transport for individuals throughout Annandale & Eskdale has been selected by Dumfries & Galloway Council for a public vote. We are delighted to have received funding of £1,000 from Cunninghame Housing Association. This will be used towards the replacement of one of the vehicles being used for our hospital transport service.
We have been successful in securing revenue funding which will allow ACTS to continue running until March 2022. We are very grateful to all funders and those who have made donations to ACTS for their support :-

Further funding must also be found for the hospital transport to continue after March 2020. We are working hard to continue providing transport for the local community. We have been working hard on a video to highlight our services - please take a look to hear about the different groups and individual users who use our service!
ACTS is today celebrating after being awarded £10,000 in National Lottery funding to support its work providing community transport throughout Annandale & Eskdale. The new funding from The National Lottery Community Fund, which distributes money raised by National Lottery players for good causes and is the largest community funder in the UK, will go towards running costs for the year ahead. William Fergie, Chairman, says: “We’re delighted that The National Lottery Community Fund has recognised our work in this way. We will continue to provide affordable, accessible transport and build on this support to secure more funding for the continuation of services.” |
