our volunteers

ACTS is fortunate to have a team of enthusiastic committed volunteers without whom it could not operate. The volunteers give their time for a variety of different activities - some volunteers are Directors, trainers and drivers whilst others may volunteer simply as drivers. The volunteers come from many different backgrounds such as industry, farming and education, many are (early) retired although we do have some who combine a full time job with supporting ACTS as Directors or drivers.  We are pleased to be able to use our volunteers' skills and enthusiasm whenever they are available  - our volunteers all have different amounts of available time and we appreciate whatever they feel able to offer.  We recognise the need to support our volunteers by providing training and induction procedures and by regularly taking the opportunity to meet our volunteers and share information about what is happening.
We are most grateful to all our volunteers for the outstanding level of commitment and the huge amount of time they freely give to ACTS which is greatly appreciated by all our passengers.
