Rebecca Elliott presents to cheque to some ACTS volunteers wearing their new clothing and ID badges. Community Windpower (CWL) have awarded ACTS a donation of £1,125. CWL are the developers of Scoop Hill Community Wind Farm in Dumfries and Galloway, which is currently at the planning stage and it is committed to providing tangible community benefits in the host communities of their wind farms. The donation will be used to provide clothing for our volunteers, ID cards, and a new printer for our office in Lockerbie.
The items will be purchased alongside a £1,000 grant from Cunninghame Housing Association. Rebecca Elliott, Senior Project Manager for Scoop Hill Community Wind Farm, said: “Supporting local business and local traders has been a tenet of our business since the very beginning, and it will remain that way as Scoop Hill progresses through the planning, construction, and operation stages.”
