ACTS has now located a community car in Moffat to complement the transport services already available using the community minibus. Many thanks to Benmar Filling Station for allowing us to keep our community transport vehicles there.
ACTS can offer community transport for individuals and groups including the popular and affordable hospital appointment service.
WHAT TRANSPORT IS AVAILABLE?
Annandale Community Transport Services (ACTS) provides:-
• A door-to-door service to hospital appointments for any NHS referrals including Dumfries, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Newcastle, Carlisle etc
• Transport for individuals
• Minibus hire for community groups
• ACTS Travel Club offering days out
• 2 registered bus services to Carlisle and Peebles
• Minibus driver training
WHO CAN USE ACTS SERVICES?
Services are available for residents of Annandale & Eskdale. Groups must be
constituted.
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
Group travel from £50.00 + fuel & membership
Individual travel from £5.50 + membership
Hospital transport from £10 + membership
Travel Club from £8.50 + membership
WHO WILL DRIVE?
We can provide volunteer drivers who give their time to help others. We also provide driver training for groups to have their own driver.
HOW TO BOOK
Please phone or email the ACTS office with as much notice of the date of travel as possible. Bookings are subject to vehicle and volunteer availability.
ACTS welcomes anyone interested in becoming a volunteer driver and helping their local communuty – full training and out of pocket expenses will be given.
